What ClioAI does

Before you sign up

Isn't this cheating?

No. Clio doesn't write your paper. It corrects and explains while you type, and you decide which suggestions to keep. The text stays yours and you learn along the way, which pasted AI text can't give you.

Will an AI detector flag my work?

You submit your own writing. You write it yourself, while Clio corrects your spelling and style and explains what could be clearer, so the wording stays yours and you understand every change before you accept it. Check what your university's rules say about AI tools, and if your course asks you to list the ones you used, include Clio.

Does Clio work on my phone?

For flashcards, yes. You can study them on your phone wherever you are. The writing happens on your laptop or desktop.

How much does Clio cost?

Your account is free and comes with 7 days of Premium. They start as soon as you sign up, without a credit card. After that the trial ends by itself. Nothing is charged, and there's nothing to cancel. If you want to continue, Pro costs €6 a month or €60 a year, and Premium costs €8 a month or €72 a year. You can cancel the monthly plan at any time, effective at the end of the billing month, and the annual plan runs for 12 months. Without a paid plan you can still open and export your texts, while the AI features need Pro or Premium. All prices are in euros.

Are my texts and data safe?

Your texts belong to you. Clio only processes them to help you, and as a German provider it is bound by the GDPR.

Who is Clio for?

Mainly for students who are writing academic papers in English or German for the first time. And for anyone who wants to get through their term papers faster and with less stress.
